Browns Bay has been undergoing some dramatic transformations over the past few years, and the rewards of those efforts are starting to become more apparent. The Browns Bay Business Association recently released some stats around the growth of sales transactions that businesses within the area are currently enjoying – particularly in the 6 years since the appointment of the new BID Manager, Murray Hill.
He says that six years ago, sales transactions were at $35 million, having dropped $3 million on the previous year. But today, sales are up to $180 million!
This means that Browns Bay is now the Top Performing Town Centre on the North Shore. What this also means is that its sales are 80% of Takapunas’ – which is a ‘Metro Centre’. “$45m behind if you’re inquisitive like me!” says Murray.
The campaign over the past few years has been ‘let’s change Browns Bay for the better’. So it’s also been part of my mission as a commercial sales & leasing agent on the Shore to help improve the business centre in Browns Bay, by assisting landlords and tenants in making the best real estate decisions for their businesses and investments.
This huge amount of growth has been a culmination of a team of people working to bolster what was already a great place to live and visit, but transform it into an exciting hotspot for visitors from Greater Auckland and tourists alike, and for local businesses to thrive.
What this growth means is that Browns Bay has developed into a very desirable area to invest in or to locate your business!
